Have you ever been disappointed when trying to book Mystic Mountain Cabin. for your specific travel dates? Here are some tips to make sure you always get the reservation you want and need.

When you are traveling and how long you are staying help determine when to make your reservations. Often I find that everyone starts thinking vacation at the same time. In September, I receive multiple inquiries for Christmas week within days even hours of each other. So, you need to know that if Christmas is on your mind, it is also on the mind of many other vacationers who use the internet.

People think about booking for a vacation during a three day weekend. Over spring break, people start thinking about summer vacation; over Labor Day weekend, it’s time to start thinking Thanksgiving and Christmas. Over the Christmas holidays, people booking for a month in the summer make the final decision at that time.

Reserving for a month:
Most guests start checking dates as much as a year out in order to return to Mystic Mountain. At a minimum you should be thinking six months out to book Mystic Mountain for a month to get your preferred dates.

Reserving for a holiday week:

Guests usually contact me within three to four months of the holiday to secure a specific date.

Reserving for the summer season or leaf season:
Seasonal months in the Smokies are June, July and August or October. If you would like to be certain you will find a week available for June, July, August or October, you should be planning to book at least three months in advance.

What is your favorite time of year to visit Maggie? Plan ahead to make the most of that rare vacation time. Once you have stayed with us at Mystic Mountain you will not want to stay anywhere else. Just retuned from a WONDERFUL stay at Mystic Mt. The Boxman’s go above and beyond in making you feel welcome in their home! The cabin is not only in a beautiful, private location but has every comfort of your own personal home. Another bonus was the welcome package that Donna leaves for all her renters! Very nice touch!! We enjoyed the daily visits from her feathered friends! Spent every morning and evening on that relaxing long porch just enjoying the sounds of the creek and birds.

Maggie Valley has so much to offer! Pleasant and friendly residents, wonderful restaurants and what I liked the best…NO FAST FOOD CHAINS! We enjoyed the shops and loved the fact that the town has not changed very much through the years.

Ghost Mountain was a great day activity! Entertaining for the young to the old, the talent that the new owners have found was fantastic! The rides were also a highlight for my son. And “Ranger Buck” said that the park will be expanding over the next 7 yrs! We can’t wait!

We found ourselves at the top of Mt Mitchell one day and in the bottom of Cataloochee Valley the next. To see an Elk in the wild was an excitement in itself! And the views of the mountain ranges from the top of Mt Mitchell left us breathless!

And as if we couldn’t get enough nature, a day trip to the Arboretum in Asheville was another pleasure. The Bonsai exhibit was amazing! We enjoyed strolling along the easy walking paths along the stream side reading about all the natural vegetation on the well marked trails. After we worked up an appetite, we rode over to Black Mountain and ate at a Cafe and enjoyed some shopping in the quaint town. It is full of arts and crafts stores!

There is just so much to enjoy in that part of the NC Mountains, and being that we didn’t get to do it all…hopefully the Boxman’s will not mind our business again!!
